Marginal Gains and Top Performance

Marginal Gains and Top Performance

Inspired by : Sir Dave Brailsford, Performance Director of the GB Cycling Team, stated: “The whole principle came from the idea that if you break down everything you can think of that goes into riding a bike, and then improve it by 1%, you will get a significant increase when you put them all together” (Brailsford D, 2012).

Theoretically, sports improvements are possible. In reality, to achieve only the 1% improvement noted above means that 99% of the time, failure might be the outcome instead. To be “the winner” is not easy, it is a complex aggregation of many aspects and every athlete, from beginning to the top, has to be sure that every aspect and detail is designed following the latest scientific evidence.

If you have in mind new success through the national, international, world championship or the next Olympic Games… unleash your power and start now with new training methodology.

Winners in the next century will be trained with a Sport Science approach.
